Experience the Maasai Mara’s incredible wildlife on a guided game drive with knowledgeable local Maasai guides, who share their deep understanding of the land, animals, and culture.
For an unforgettable and truly immersive experience, you can book a guided game drive through our camp. The Maasai guides we work with are self employed and their intimate knowledge of the landscape, wildlife, and Maasai culture offers a richer, more authentic encounter with the Mara.
These expert guides will not only help you spot the famous Big Five but also share insights about the smaller, often overlooked wonders of the Mara—from elusive birds to the intricate ecosystems that make this region so unique.
Whether it’s the thrill of tracking lions at dawn or the peaceful serenity of watching an elephant herd against a stunning African sunset, our game drives promise a safari experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Please note that guided game drives must be booked at least one week prior to your arrival at camp. We offer a range of game drive options to suit your schedule, including morning drives, evening drives, and full-day excursions.
For game drives, meals, snacks, and drinks can be packed and enjoyed during your safari. To enhance your comfort while out on safari, your guide will make sure everything is organized for a seamless experience, including meal packages, drinks, safari chairs and a picnic table.
The safari Landcruisers can carry up to 7 people, although we would recommend sticking to 4-5 people per vehicle so that everyone has prime wildlife views.
Kobe Mara is located right next to a small and quiet entry gate right on the edge of our property, called Zebra Barrier. So driving time is only 1-2 minutes. Other options are the Mpaui Gate (15 min) or the Talek Gate (20 min).
In 2026, the following park fees apply:
Park fees can be paid at the entry gates through Credit Card, Cash, or M-Pesa.
Conservancies are privately run and do not allow entry for day visitors. Apart from the multiple park entry gates into the national reserve, a day trip to the Mara Triangle can be organized (subject to minor surcharge).
Kobe Mara is not just a place for safari, we offer tailor-made experiences that suit every type of traveler. Whether it is a calming yoga retreat or an adventurous hot air balloon ride. And finish your day with the best food and beverages from our private chef Julius.
