Waterhole

Our private waterhole attracts wildlife throughout the day, offering an intimate front row view of the Mara from the comfort of camp.

What

to expect

Set directly in front of Kobe House, our private waterhole is one of Kobe Mara’s most captivating natural features. Drawing a steady procession of wildlife throughout the day, it offers guests a front-row seat to the rhythms of the Mara—without ever leaving the comfort of camp.

From the first light of morning, enjoy your coffee as giraffes, zebras, antelope, and buffalo arrive to drink, often within great viewing distance. As the afternoon fades into golden hour, the waterhole becomes the perfect backdrop for sundowner drinks, with animals continuing their visits as the sky turns warm and wild sounds fill the air.

This effortless closeness to nature is what makes the waterhole experience at Kobe Mara truly special: unhurried, intimate, and deeply immersive. Whether you’re watching quietly from the veranda or sharing the moment around the campfire with fellow guests, every visit is a reminder that here, wildlife comes to you.
